Around Dorset

Powerstock is a working village with its farms, 15th century Norman church and village school. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside, rolling hills and deep valleys. To the East stands Eggardon Hill and Powerstock Common with its ancient hill forts, forests and fallow deer.

Dorset has winding country lanes, dramatic scenery, gorgeous walks, literary history and traditional seaside fun. There is something for everyone in Dorset, all easily accessible when using The “Shoes” Three Horseshoes Inn, Powerstock as your base.

The Jurassic Coast, only a few miles from the Inn, provides breath taking scenery, stunning walks and lots of beach fun.

You can do all kinds of countryside walks from Powerstock, we’re next to Powerstock Common, part of Dorset Wildlife Reserve which has a variety of wildlife and flowers for you to explore and see.

Also we’re just outside Bridport, famous for its markets, local food producers and seaside harbour of West Bay.
